Hello! Thank you for visiting my page.
My name is Denise and I have worked in the mental health field for almost ten years.
I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children, and have worked with a wide variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma, and other life difficulties.
I am especially interested in working with adolescents, but I am excited to have the opportunity to work with adults as well. Most of the clients in my in-person practice are adults. I am particularly interested in doing message-based and live chat counseling.
My counseling style is a combination of psychodynamic approaches (talking about emotions and working through difficult experiences using traditional "talk therapy" type techniques) and cognitive-behavioral approaches (looking at the relationship between emotions, behaviors, and thoughts, and how influencing one can make us feel better or worse emotionally). I use more of one or the other depending on the person's preference.
Much research has shown that one of the most important factors in how much a person benefits from counseling is the quality of the relationship between the person and the counselor. So I am glad that you took the time to read my profile and invite you to message me if you have any questions. If you feel like we may be a good fit for each other, I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I love Denise
She listen and help navigate the issue
Denise is great to work with. Super quick to respond and I feel like she really understands what I need.
The best decision I made. She understand you and help you understand when you explain something that doesnt make sense to you she will interpret it for my better understanding. And thats the most I love about it and her. She is a huge help.
I really appreciate her empathy and compassion :)
She understands me really well and she gives me a good advice and see the things in other perspective.
Denise is wonderful, she comes in with a non-judgmental viewpoint and clearly knows her stuff. She has talked me through many of my OCD episodes and trauma, and works with my brain to soothe intrusive thoughts
I am early on in my work with Denise and BetterHelp, but so far I am impressed and looking forward to exploring more with them.
Denise is great! I wasn't quite sure if BetterHelp was for me, but Denise really listens and respects everything I am saying, while also giving me tips to cope with my depression and anxiety. I am happy to have sound something that works!
Denise is so great. After about a month of messaging with her I feel so much more in control of my emotions. She is so understanding and easy to talk to, even when I text her novels! She breaks everything down into manageable bite size pieces and helps you tackle your issues little by little so you’re not overwhelmed. Or even if you are overwhelmed, she makes sure you know that is okay! She is phenomenal, highly recommend!
Denise offers really reasonable advice and action items to work on. She is more than just a person to rant to. She tries to fully understand your situation before offering help. She also never makes you feel like your problem is too minuscule to focus on.
Denise is absolutely amazing. I knew the second I read her profile that I would work well with her, but she's exceeded all expectations. She's a knowledgeable, kind person who takes time to touch on everything, even if you send it in a disorganized mess of a message. I'm so thankful to have her as my counselor, and look forward to continuing my sessions with her.
