More about me
Years in Practice: 40
Hello, I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia. I have 40 years of experience working with children and their families providing individual, group and family counseling. I spent my first twenty years working with adolescent males and their families with mental health and criminal charges. The last twenty years I have provided counseling in the school setting working with children of all ages as well as their families. In addition, I have provided outpatient therapy in a private practice setting for the last 6 years. Clients at this facility have included young children as well as adults. My clients have had a wide range of concerns from ADHD, anxiety, depression, career challenges to parenting problems.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with compassion, sensitivity and respect. All qualities I want to be treated with by others. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, rational emotive, and humanistic style. I will tailor our conversations to meet your specific needs.
I am here and ready to work with you to help overcome your issues. I look forward to hearing and working with you.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
