Hello and Welcome!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with 23 years of experience supporting clients in both Iowa and Arizona, where I currently reside. My passion is helping individuals navigate meaningful life transitions and emotional challenges, including stress and anxiety, inner child work and trauma, family conflict, depression, boundaries, and spiritual exploration.

I believe we are all far more than a diagnosis. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and peaceful life, and I honor the strength it takes to take this step. My goal is to walk alongside you—supporting, empowering, and helping you reconnect with the harmony between mind, body, and soul.

My practice embraces spirituality as a deeply personal experience, separate from religion. I offer a grounded, open space where you can explore deeper meaning, connection, and inner wisdom in a way that feels authentic to you.

In our work together, you can expect:

Personal Spiritual Exploration: Space to discover and nurture your own spiritual path, whatever that may look like.

Mindful Practices: Gentle, practical tools—such as mindfulness and meditation—to help cultivate calm and clarity.

Open Conversations: A supportive environment where your beliefs, questions, and aspirations can be expressed freely and without judgment.

Inner Peace: Guidance in observing thoughts and emotions with compassion, creating room for stillness and well-being that isn’t dependent on external circumstances.

Above all, I strive to be a safe place for you to land—a compassionate partner on your journey to healing, growth, and self-connection.

Let’s connect whenever you feel ready.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. I feel respected and heard when I speak with Jennifer.

She is the best listener and even helps me navigate my own part in the conversation when I need it. She has provided me so much validation and expresses understanding at just the right times. Also provides me with so many resources that have not only informed me but helped me pinpoint key issues. I’d recommend her to anyone else that needs a therapist.

In the 2 sessions I’ve done I’ve felt a lot of improvements. She’s amazing really understands and listens and she just knows what she’s doing.

She’s awesome!

My therapist was very thoughtful, kind and insightful. She went out of her to offer me encouraging messages when I couldn’t talk to her. Her compassion and expertise in her field makes her an excellent therapist.

I was skeptical at first, about virtual mental therapy. I wasn't sure I could make a connection with a counselor without meeting in person. But, it wasn't awkward at all, and opened up a whole new avenue to having mental health assistance in the moment (when it matters most.) Jen was helpful and patient and kind, everything you want a therapist to be. I've done a lot of healing with her and I can't wait to see what's next!

Jennifer's exceptional ability to pinpoint the challenges I face has been invaluable in my journey of self-improvement. Her insightful and motivating feedback has inspired me to delve deeper into my own reflection, empowering me to recognize the transformative steps I need to take.

She is excellent at teaching. I came here hoping to learn some skills for managing emotions and responding better to situations. I learned more in just three weeks than I expected to learn at all. I feel like I have been able to grasp what she is saying and actually put it into practice.

Jennifer is amazing! She's flexible and works with you to build a plan. She's interactive and supportive and doesn't just shove self help books down your throat. Love her!

Reviewed April 2023

Reviewed February 2023

Jen is fantastic and sessions with her are the ideal balance of her listening and providing feedback. She is thoughtful and kind and has provided me with great insights and advice. She is very responsive and flexible with scheduling. Jen clearly communicates when she won't be available well in advance and demonstrates the perfect equilibrium of accommodation and boundary setting. I struggle with boundary setting myself, and love seeing healthy boundaries laid out in such a kind and communicative way. She models how I'd like to treat others as that is exactly how I like to be treated. Throughout our therapy relationship Jen has been incredibly helpful as I've worked on several challenges and areas I look to improve on. She continues to provide judgement-free advice and seems to tailor her suggestions based on what she knows about me and my personality. I believe she would be an excellent fit for therapy veterans, like myself, ready to dive in, as well as those new to therapy/those unsure about its efficacy. Jen is a great asset and I look forward to more personal growth and her invaluable support as we continue to work together.

I thoroughly enjoy that I can text my therapist whenever I want to and she always has a supportive thought or thought provoking question along with relevant resources at times. It feels casual but helps keep me accountable with my goals throughout every day - not just on session days.

Reviewed March 2022

Jennifer is very easy to talk to and I look forward to our sessions each week. She also sends me a lot of materials to work with in between sessions and she is quick to answer back when I send her messages.

Reviewed March 2022

I really enjoy having Jennifer as my therapist. She is very respectful and professional, she helps keep me on track by setting goals and stay focused rather than rant and ramble for an hour. She gives insight but is very careful and sweet to not impose her thoughts or ideas. She also responds quickly and is very communicative.

Reviewed February 2022

Jennifer is particularly skilled at being both professional and personal. She also never comes from a standpoint of knowing more about a subject than me. She learns with me and that makes it seem like we have equal footing. I've gained a lot of knowledge from her and hope others that work with her with benefit as much as I have.

Reviewed January 2022

She is very good, understanding, I am so glad I feel better.

Reviewed August 2021

She is very good at what she does and so far is helping me very much.
