Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I have been in and out of therapy for the majority of my life since I was about 5 years old and have a long history of depression, anxiety, and much more and honestly this is the first time I have hope of getting a handle on my issues with the help of a therapist. I feel like I can actually gain controll of everything that I need to working with Esther. I love her approach on things so they are less overwhelming and her knowledge in many areas makes me feel heard for the first time by a therapist. I highly recommend her!

We really just got started, but so far all is going well. She’s given me some different ways to look at things, and some advice that has been very helpful. Therapy takes time for sure, so it’ll be easier to really know the more her and I work together to give a more thorough review.
