Hello and welcome to my BetterHelp profile.

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. Reaching out and sharing personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences with someone new often takes courage. If you're considering therapy, I want you to know that you will be met with warmth, understanding, and a genuine commitment to supporting you.

My background includes working within NHS Mental Health Services, and since 2009 I have dedicated my career to providing therapeutic support that recognises the uniqueness of every individual and their life experiences. I am passionate about helping people navigate challenges, build resilience, and find meaningful ways forward.

As an Integrative Therapist, I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to tailor our work together to suit your individual needs. I understand that no two people are the same, and I believe therapy should reflect that. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we can work together to explore what is happening for you at a pace that feels comfortable.

I consider it a privilege to be invited into a person's inner world. The therapeutic relationship is built on trust, respect, and compassion, and I am mindful of the courage it takes to engage in this process.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and understood without fear of criticism or stigma. Drawing from humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural approaches, I will work alongside you to develop a therapeutic experience that feels supportive, meaningful, and relevant to your goals.

Over recent years, I have embraced online counselling and have seen first-hand how effective and accessible it can be. I am experienced in providing therapy via video, telephone, and written communication, supporting clients in both short-term and longer-term work. Many people find that online therapy offers a comfortable and flexible way to access support from their own environment.

Whatever has brought you here today, you do not have to face it alone. If you feel ready to take the next step, I would be honoured to accompany you on your journey. I look forward to meeting you and exploring how we can work together towards the changes you would like to make in your life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
