Hello, I'm James.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, offering a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore life's challenges and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

Working at a pace that feels right for you, I draw on Person-Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and Somatic approaches, helping you explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and physical experiences.

Alongside my general counselling practice, I have specialist training in sex and pornography addiction and am a member of ATSAC (Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity). I also have experience supporting individuals in recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction, including work informed by the Twelve Step model.

As a Registered Member of the BACP (MBACP), I work within their Ethical Framework and maintain high standards of professionalism and care. I am also registered with the ICO.

I aim to provide a supportive and trusting environment where you feel heard and understood. There may be exceptional circumstances where information may need to be provided to others, such as where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, concerns regarding the safety of a child or vulnerable adult, or where disclosure is required by law. Any relevant limits or circumstances affecting how information is handled will be discussed openly during our work together.

Jurisdiction: This counselling agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales and falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Very friendly and competent. Always having the patience to understand all problems. Gives valuable indications and has great ideas. We have made in a few sessions more progress than what I've done in 10 years of therapy with other therapists. Really, really great experience, I can only recommend him to anyone with a difficult case.
