I love my sessions with Emma, she listens to me and is helping me get over many traumas I’ve experienced during my time with an abusive husband. She is giving me different tools and showing me techniques to use to help me with this trauma and the extreme anxiety I have from it. I would highly recommend her to others going through the same as me

My first session:

Your first session will be about why you are looking for therapy; what you want to achieve from the therapy, and agreeing how you and I are going to work together.

We will go through a number of questions to help decide whether we will both be comfortable working together and to check that you can be offered the most appropriate support.

If the answer is yes, then we will discuss confidentiality, times, dates and length of counselling, price of the sessions, how I work & my qualifications, and safeguarding.

I have monthly supervision as part of my counselling process to

to protect my clients welfare, ensure adherence to ethical standards, and support the support my professional and personal development. This is to ensure that you have the best counselling experience and client confidentiality is still adhered to within supervision sessions.

You will also be able to ask me any questions that you may have about counselling and the process.

If you are happy to go ahead with the counselling we will then co-create an agreement together.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Emma is an amazing therapist, I felt really comfortable with her right away. She listened to my needs and thoughtfully gave me suggestions that have really helped improve my mental health over the last couple of months. She identified patterns and helped me to find new ways of dealing with certain situations. I have really enjoyed my sessions with her, which have helped me get to a good place. Looking forward to exploring more with her in the future should I need the support again. Thanks for all you have done Emma, I am truly grateful.

Emma is truly a talented therapist! Her holistic view and approach is amazing and she has many brilliant perspectives and tools to help one feel safe, heal, and grow. I feel like she holds space beautifully, listens well, lets me express myself fully, has a lot of compassion, and also knows when to drop a super wise reflection or lesson that truly comes at the right time. Would hiiighly recommend her! Thank you Emma <3

Reviewed May 2023

I have just finished 2 months of therapy with Emma, where her advice and support has been invaluable in my growth journey. Emma has a very warm, calm approach which made me feel comfortable and relaxed at all times. She took time to go through each area of anxiety and made sure to check back in each week to see how I was progressing. We focused on grieving and relationships, where I would highly recommend Emma to anyone struggling with similar areas of anxiety. Not only have my anxious days significantly reduced but I have learnt new ways of processing anxious thoughts when they do appear. Thanks Emma, your support has been invaluable and I will miss our weekly chats!

I came to Emma struggling with a lot of built up anxiety and emotions that I wasn't fully aware of. She is incredibly comforting and accepting, it was so easy to talk to her without any judgement or embarrassment. I was a little sceptical of some of the techniques she suggested at the start, but I am so happy I gave them a go, and they really helped me! She has really fast and thoughtful replies, she is amazing at helping me make sense of my thoughts when I'm feeling overwhelmed, and helping me learn how to deal with them. I really enjoyed our weekly calls and I am sad to say goodbye, but so grateful to have been matched with her. I can't recommend her enough. Thank you so much Emma!

I came to therapy during a bag burnout when I decided I needed help! I was surprised to see how much Emma resonated with me... I never felt that well listened to, ever! It was surprising how even her reflecting my words back were helping me see the issues with my perception. It felt like it was the Universe that matched her to me, not betterhelp.com! With my strong personality (and ADHD), I was reluctant to try some of the techniques she suggested, but I'm really glad I did! Her support was so comforting and reassuring that I started to really enjoy everything we were doing! I'm really grateful for all the time we spent together in therapy. It feels sooo good to know there are people like Emma out there! Thank you Emma!

Reviewed January 2023

I almost gave up on trying to find a therapist that I was comfortable speaking with but glad that I gave it another chance because otherwise, I would have never been matched with Emma. Emma is not only someone extremely empathetic, but also a therapist who actively creates a “program” and uses lovely techniques. With me, she involves activities like breathing techniques, mantras, and painting, which have helped me tremendously. Emma is reactive and answers my messages quickly and thoughtfully, encourages journaling and sharing with her, and I especially enjoy our video sessions. Thank you, Emma!!
