Hello, I am Kimberley

You want someone you can talk to without feeling judged or handled. Someone who actually listens and does not hide behind jargon or pretend everything has a neat answer. That is what I do. I sit with people while they try to make sense of whatever has been going on and we take it from there.

I live in Devon with my two dogs and most of my work has been with people whose lives have taken them in unexpected directions. Hard childhoods. Breakdowns that arrived out of nowhere. Relationships that changed them. Health issues that shifted who they thought they were. I know that reaching out can feel like a big step and that finding the right person to talk to makes all the difference. My approach is about offering a space where you feel heard, valued, and respected.

Who I Work With:

I work with people. Not diagnoses, not categories, not labels. Just people who are carrying something, whether they can name it or not, and need somewhere to start putting it down.

A lot of the people I work with are navigating:

>Anxiety, low mood, or feeling constantly on edge

>Past experiences that still show up in the present

>Feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of where to go next

>Long term health conditions specifically diabetes

Uniformed Services

I work with people connected to the uniformed world whether you are serving, stepping out of it, or you are the partner or family member who has lived around it for years, and I understand how that life shapes the way you move through the world because it asks you to keep going, to adapt fast, to shut things down that do not fit the moment, and after a while it can leave you feeling like you do not know what to do with everything that has built up. You do not need to explain that from the beginning with me and you do not need to pretend it has not had an impact.

Long Term Health

I live with type 1 diabetes so I understand what it is like to manage something that sits in the background of every day and every decision, and how tiring it can be when everyone assumes you are fine because that is what they see. It is a lot to deal with and you do not have to minimise any of it here.

Psychosexual and Relationship Work

I am also training in psychosexual and relationship therapy which fits naturally with the work I already do around intimacy, connection, identity, and sex because these are everyday parts of being human and they shape how we feel in ourselves and how we show up with other people. People usually come to this because something in that part of their life feels stuck, confusing, uncomfortable, or not quite right, whether it is changes in desire, pain or tension during intimacy, distance in a relationship, changes after illness or trauma, worries about their body, uncertainty around fantasies or boundaries, or just a sense that things are not working in the way they want them to.

Some people want to reconnect with pleasure, some want to make sense of what has happened to them, and some simply want a space where they can talk about sex and intimacy without feeling embarrassed, judged, or shut down. All of that is welcome here.

I am kink aware and sex positive which means I do not judge consensual expression or try to make anyone fit into someone else’s idea of normal, and even though I am still in training this is already a solid part of my work and something I approach with honesty, clarity, and respect for whatever you bring.

How We Can Work Together:

Therapy should fit into your life, not the other way around.

If you prefer messaging therapy, you can send messages when it suits you. I will always respond as soon as I can, usually much quicker than 48 hours. If you would rather have a phone or video session, you are welcome to check my availability and see what works best for you. If you are unsure, we can talk it through and figure out what fits.

There is no single way to do therapy. We will shape it together based on what feels right for you.

My Approach

I see therapy as a place where you get to be yourself without having to perform or tidy anything up. It is somewhere you can talk things through, notice what comes up, make sense of what has been going on, and work out what you want for yourself going forward. Some people come in wanting to understand why life feels the way it does. Others want to change habits they are tired of. Some just want space to think without being judged or shut down. We find our way together and we go at a pace that feels possible for you.

I am not interested in trying to squeeze anyone into a model or a method. People are different, lives are different, and the work has to make sense in your world. My job is to sit with you, be honest with you, and help you look at things in a way that feels real and useful rather than forced or scripted.

Consent and Autonomy

This is your space and you decide what we talk about. You can take your time, you can hold things back until they feel right to say, and you can stop or change direction whenever you need to. You are in charge of the pace and the focus, and I will never push you somewhere you do not want to go.

Whether you are trying to understand yourself better, untangle something from the past, deal with what is happening right now, or just get some breathing room, therapy should feel like a place where you can drop the performance and be human without anyone expecting anything from you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
