Hi, I’m Jenna — a person-centered therapist who believes that healing begins with connection. My approach is grounded in the belief that a positive, trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth and change. I often say that there are many ways up the mountain, and sometimes our work together involves rerouting — and that’s okay. Every journey is unique, and my role is to walk beside you as you find your way forward.

I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, grief, disability, postpartum depression and anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, parenting, OCD, and Autism. I’m passionate about helping you make sense of your symptoms — not just to manage them, but to understand where they come from and how to work with them in ways that support your overall well-being.

I draw from a variety of tools, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, parts work, trauma-focused therapy, and traditional talk therapy. These are valuable methods, but I don’t believe that techniques alone create transformation. Instead, I focus on cultivating safety, curiosity, and collaboration so that you can explore what truly matters to you.

I use a blend of person-centered and reality/choice theory approaches, which means I believe in both deep understanding and practical change — helping you reconnect with your sense of choice, agency, and self-worth.

Above all, I want our space to feel like one where you can exhale — a space where you can bring what you need, be seen without judgment, and know that showing up, in itself, is something to be proud of. Because often, showing up is the hardest and bravest part. I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Jenna is incredibly intuitive, a patient listener, and a graceful challenger around painful patterns I am looking to interrupt. She connects the dots, responds with empathy and care, notices different perspectives, digs deeper, and offers alternatives and encouragement and jumping off points to exercise emotional muscles that need practice. I am grateful for her deep listening skills, relatability, willingness to go where the flow takes us, and intuition to recognize the deeper threads of what is happening and reframing when necessary. She shows deep care and compassion, checks in between sessions, and makes me feel very seen and known- even when that feels hard, I know she is on my team toward becoming the best version of myself I can be.

Jenna makes me feel very comfortable to talk to her about things that are bothering me. She has been great at listening and helping me with my emotions and feelings, and giving me new coping skills that help me with the struggles that I am having. I feel very confident in her knowledge. Sometimes it’s hard to think about where I was when I first started meeting with her and where I am now. It’s like the difference between night and day. I owe this change to her positive and supportive interactions.

Reviewed April 2024

Jenna has been very insightful. She has been able to pull some things out of me that I did not realize. The best part about our first few sessions is she has given me permission to not feel guilty. To put it all aside and just focus on me. I have not been able to do that in years. I look forward to my weekly sessions with her. The time for myself and to visit with her gives me hope which is what I am needing right now.

Jenna is wonderful - I had no experience with therapy, so was very anxious about what to expect, how it might make me feel, hesitation with disclosing personal thoughts and info, etc. Within a few minutes of our session, Jenna had already made me feel completely comfortable, welcome, and safe. She's fantastic (with cool art!) and has night options, which could be very helpful for people whose life and work schedules don't line up with standard office hours.
