Hi there, I'm Amy,

It can seem daunting starting counselling and/or choosing a therapist.

I offer a space to explore the things that have brought you into counselling and work together towards wherever you would like to get to.

I am a fully qualified counsellor, credentialed and based in the UK, with 14 years of experience in the counselling field in a wide range of client issues. I offer professional and confidential counselling with a person-centred base.

I have worked with many different people on many different issues over the years, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem and confidence issues, bereavement and loss, relationship and family issues, trauma, navigating big changes in life, infertility, perimenopause/ menopause, the list goes on...

I have over 10 years of experience with specifically supporting both people experiencing problematic gambling, and their loved ones.

I consider myself to be LGBTQ+ inclusive.

I work with adults aged 18 years and above, offering one-to-one counselling.

The counselling that I offer is usually open-ended, but can be flexible with whether it is long or short term counselling, depending on your individual needs.

Counselling offers a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore any issues that you may have, in order to gain more insight and understanding into yourself and your feelings and to identify any areas of life that you may wish to change.

The building of an equal and trusting relationship is paramount to my work and I believe that each client that I work with is an individual and value them as such, working in an empathic and understanding way to help you to discover and learn more about yourself and to find your own unique way of resolving any issues that are impacting upon you so that you can move forward with your life.

If you feel that I might be the right fit for you, please feel free to get in touch and I'd be happy to hear from you.

Take care, Amy.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
