Introduction
Hello, my name is Simone Ferreira Domingues.
Many people I work with appear responsible and capable on the outside, yet inside, they may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or caught in constant overthinking.
You might be navigating stress from work or university, challenges in relationships, or feeling unsure about your direction in life. Sometimes people feel they must carry everything on their own while trying to meet expectations from work, studies, family, or relationships.
Counselling can offer a supportive space to pause, reflect, and explore new ways forward.
I provide online counselling for young adults, university students, and adults who are looking for a respectful and supportive space to better understand themselves and their experiences.
Reaching out for support can be a meaningful first step, and you don’t have to go through things alone.
Professional Background
Before moving to Australia, I worked for many years in Brazil providing psychotherapy and emotional support to adults, families, and individuals in private practice and educational contexts.
Currently, I provide counselling through online sessions.
I am a registered counsellor (Level 4) with the ACA (Australian Counselling Association ) and also registered with the PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia). My work follows the ethical and professional standards of both organisations.
My Approach
My approach is warm, reflective, and client-centred.
I draw from several evidence-informed perspectives, including Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and a trauma-informed perspective. This means emotional safety, respect for your pace, and sensitivity to past experiences are central to the counselling process.
I also bring a systemic perspective, exploring how relationships, family dynamics, and life context may influence the emotional patterns you experience today.
Together, we may explore ways to:
• manage anxiety, stress, and overthinking
• understand emotional patterns and reactions
• improve communication in relationships
• strengthen self-confidence and emotional awareness
• navigate important life transitions
Who I Work With
I work with young adults, university students, and adults who may be experiencing:
• anxiety or emotional overwhelm
• constant overthinking
• relationship challenges
• academic or work stress
• self-confidence difficulties
• life transitions or feeling stuck
Many of the people I support are thoughtful individuals who often feel they must manage everything on their own while trying to meet expectations from work, university, family, or relationships.
Professional Standards
My counselling sessions are provided online through telehealth and follow the ethical and professional guidelines of the Australian Counselling Association and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
I aim to offer a respectful and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
