Hi, I’m Paul. I’m so glad you’re here.

Do any of these feel the feel familiar?

Do you feel as if your life has fallen apart and you’re anxious about what comes next?

Do you feel lost, heartbroken, sad, scared and completely alone.

Do you feel in shock, numb or empty inside?

Are you struggling to accept that they’re gone and don’t know how you’ll cope without them?

Do you feel anger or guilt and find yourself going over the why and what ifs

Do you feel okay one minute but floored by a wave of emotion the next?

Do you find yourself crying constantly or are you unable to cry at all?

Counselling can provide:

An opportunity to talk about thoughts and feelings you don’t feel able to share with anyone else – without blame, pressure of the fear of upsetting those closest to you.

Validation of your thoughts, feelings and experience.

Support to make sense of your thoughts and feelings.

Support in shifting the focus of your loss, letting go of painful memories and allowing room for the positive ones.

Support to help you to forgive yourself, releasing yourself from feelings of guilt or anger

A space to learn how to be kinder to yourself and to give yourself permission to feel moments of relief or joy

Help in finding a way to live within your “new normal”

Learning to grow your life around your grief — finding a way forward without feeling as though you’re leaving your loved one behind.

How I work

My approach is person‑centred, which means our sessions are led by you. When you are going through a difficult time, it can feel hard to find the right words — or any words at all — so you’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly about your loss without judgement or pressure to “be strong” or “move on”. Together, we can explore the thoughts, feelings and questions that come with loss, notice any patterns that might be keeping you stuck, and gently make sense of what you’re going through. Over time, this can help find ways to cope with the day to day reality of life after loss and help you to adjust to your “new normal”.

About Me

My path into counselling is shaped by real life — growing up in a working‑class family, losing my dad young, facing relationship breakdowns, work stress, serious illness and major surgery. I know what it’s like to feel frightened, overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. Those experiences taught me how important it is to have someone beside you when life feels too heavy, and that’s why I do this work today: to offer a warm, understanding space where you feel heard, supported and never judged.

Next Steps: Book a Free 20-Minute Consultation

If any of this sounds familiar and you’re tired of ‘putting on a brave face’, you don’t have to face it alone.

Please reach out - It's OK to not be OK. And I'd love to help.

Warm wishes

Paul

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
