My name is Sheila Davis. I have been married for 29 years and have four children. My youngest is 17 and still lives at home but the other three have moved out and are working and building a life for themselves. I was a stay at home mom for 13 years and when my youngest went to kindergarten, I went to college. I went to school for seven years straight, obtaining my bachelor's degree in psychology and my master's degree in counseling. Upon completion of my required supervision hours, I obtained my full license and opened up a private practice. I taught myself everything I needed to know about business, taxes, book keeping, billing and coding and was a one man show for the first year. By the end of my first year, my practice had grown so large, I was overwhelmed with client and brought on another counselor and receptionist. This past summer, I added a third counselor to our group. I will be selling my practice this January and will be moving with my family across the country to North Carolina, where I am in the process of obtaining my license. I am excited to have this opportunity to help supplement my income after I sell my business and get settled in my new home. I work with a wide variety of individuals with a wide variety of problems. I specialize in domestic violence and couples counseling, conflict resolution, grief counseling as well as so many other issues that many people face. I primarily approach with a CBT modality but am able to adjust to whatever the needs of each individual client.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
