More about Lauren

Hi! I'm Lauren, and I'm a person-centred counsellor based in Merseyside, UK and also work closely with CBT, mindfulness and solution-focused therapy which I offer either upon request or by assessing the needs of each individual.

Counselling and Mental Health have been a passion of mine since I was 14 years old and at age 19 I began my training in Counselling & Psychotherapy, having graduated as fully qualified aged 23.

I am a warm, empathic and non-judgemental person which also reflects within my role as a counsellor. I am flexible, approachable and reasonable and can offer evening and weekend appointments.

The Process: The counselling process can be daunting for some as some sessions can involve unpleasant subjects, emotions and memories being explored. However, I assure you that each session is the individual’s space to discuss what they choose, when they choose. I am privileged to support others during this emotional journey in life and will work alongside you at a pace that suits you.

How does it help?: I truly believe in using talking therapies as a way of reaching a more peaceful and calm place in life as many of us struggle with our own daily battles, which can always be assessed and addressed through counselling. A quote from the famous Carl Rogers confirms this - “The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction and not a destination.”

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
