More about Daniel

  • 3 years' experience
  • Male
  • BACP

I am a Christian counsellor, qualified integrative counsellor, and registered member of the BACP, based in the United Kingdom. My Christian faith is an important part of who I am and shapes how I understand people, relationships, suffering, hope and meaning. I am also deeply philosophical, and much of my counselling work has a philosophical and existential tone, exploring not only what someone is experiencing but what it means to be human and how they want to live.

My approach is deeply relational and integrative, drawing particularly from Person-Centred and Existential Therapy, alongside Jungian psychology, CBT-informed practice and reflective dialogue. I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, relational difficulties, emotional overwhelm, spiritual struggles and major life transitions.

I believe counselling is about more than simply reducing symptoms. It can be a space to understand ourselves more deeply, explore the patterns and experiences that shape us, and consider questions of identity, purpose, responsibility, suffering, faith and meaning. My interests in psychology, existentialism, Stoicism, philosophy and theology naturally inform this way of working.

I aim to offer a calm, honest and non-judgemental space where clients feel genuinely heard, while also being thoughtfully challenged where appropriate. I welcome people from all backgrounds and respect each person's beliefs, values and worldview. Ultimately, I see counselling as a collaborative journey towards greater self-understanding, clarity, resilience and authenticity.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
