I am a degree-educated integrative counsellor, with over 4 years experience.

I work using the three main modalities, Psychodynamic which deals with trauma, abandonment issues, relinquishment and relationship difficulties around bonding.

Humanistic/Person-centred theory working around self and learning how to become the best possible version of yourself. This focuses on confidence, self/esteem and empowerment to help you achieve what you want in life.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy helping to deal with negative thought patterns, emotions and behaviour and giving you tools to challenge negative

I specialise in working around addiction issues and also work as a volunteer counsellor at an addiction centre, where I deal with the many areas of addiction around alcohol dependency, drugs, gambling and other areas. I have also undertaken courses around addiction and criminal psychology.

I work within all aspects of mental health, ranging from depression, anxiety, low mood, lack of confidence and self esteem, grief, loss, trauma, codependency, identity issues and bonding.

I also work with neurodivergence issues such as ADHD, ADD, bipolar disorder, dissociative disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

I am a specialist trained in adoption, having undertaken an adoption course which allows me to work within all areas of adoption. This deals with CPTSD, relinquishment and abandonment issues. I have lived experience in this area, so I am able to relate personally which allows me to pull on my own knowledge around this highly emotive area.

I also work with couples to help build back communication, trust issues and other areas to help steer you to a closer relationship.

I am flexible and do offer appointments in the evenings up to 8pm. I also offer weekend appointments upon request,

Deciding to go into counselling can seem very daunting and something that you may not be familiar with. I am here to work alongside you, offering empathy, warmth and support in a non-judgmental way. Exploring aspects of what you feel you want to change in your life can be both empowering and thought-provoking.

For more details about the services I offer, please head to Counselling Directory, Psychology Today and The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, where I am a member.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
