Hi, I’m Pattie Moreno Guadamuz, M.S., LMFT, LPCC, NCC. I’m glad you’re here and taking this step for yourself. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I want to honor the courage it takes to begin. I work with individuals, children, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, identity-related stress, and major life transitions. In addition to therapy, I offer coaching to help guide and support you through challenging changes, whether you're adjusting to a new role, relationship, or chapter in life.

My therapeutic practice is collaborative, warm, and culturally attuned. I’ll meet you where you are and support you in moving toward where you want to be. When you're ready, I welcome you to reach out. Together, we can create a space that feels safe, empowering, and uniquely yours.

My approach:

I take a warm, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy. I integrate Positive Psychotherapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you build on your strengths, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and move through life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience. My style is active and supportive. You will have a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and encouraged to grow at your own pace. I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals, whether that involves increasing self-awareness, building practical coping skills, or navigating a difficult transition. Your progress and well-being are always at the heart of our work, and together we will create strategies that support long-term growth and emotional wellness.

My focus:

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward? I work with children, teens, and adults facing trauma, anxiety, identity challenges, family transitions, and cultural stressors. I specialize in supporting immigrant and bicultural families and individuals impacted by intergenerational trauma. Whether you're a teen learning to manage emotions, a parent navigating co-parenting, or an adult healing from past wounds, I offer a supportive space where your story is honored and your growth is the focus. My goal is to help you build insight, confidence, and the tools needed to feel more empowered in your life. Together, we will work toward meaningful change and help you become the strongest and most authentic version of yourself.

My communication style:

My communication style is clear, direct, and empathetic. I aim to create a space that feels warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental, where you feel safe and encouraged to be your authentic self. I practice active listening and stay fully engaged in our sessions, asking thoughtful questions, offering honest feedback, and helping you reflect in ways that feel grounded and empowering. Clients often describe me as someone who communicates with care and clarity, providing both emotional support and practical guidance. Whether we are navigating something deeply emotional or exploring new ways of thinking, I will meet you with compassion, patience, and a steady presence that helps you move forward with confidence.

My journey to mental healthcare:

My path to becoming a therapist was deeply personal and rooted in a lifelong commitment to strong communication skills, connection, and empowerment. In my first career, I worked in music, radio, media, TV, and the world of hip hop, a culture grounded in self-expression, resilience, and sharing lived experiences. Those experiences showed me the power of voice and creativity in navigating identity, adversity, and healing, and they deeply shaped how I understand human emotion and connection. Growing up in a multicultural environment and witnessing the strength of immigrant communities further fueled my dedication to advocacy and emotional wellness. Before becoming a licensed therapist, I worked in community mental health and private practice, supporting diverse individuals across the lifespan. I hold dual licensure as an LMFT and LPCC and am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I am passionate about helping people overcome trauma, move through major life transitions, and build a more grounded and empowered sense of self through flexible and holistic care.

My goals for you:

I help clients reach their goals through a collaborative and structured process that honors both their strengths and their struggles. Using Positive Psychotherapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I support clients in identifying what meaningful change looks like for them and breaking that vision into achievable steps. We work together to clarify your goals, explore the patterns that may be holding you back, and build practical tools that support long-term growth. I provide regular check-ins to track progress and adapt as needed, always keeping your voice and values at the center of the process. Whether you are looking to reduce anxiety, heal from trauma, or navigate a major life transition, my goal is to help you move forward with insight, confidence, and a deeper connection to your authentic self.

My first session with you:

Our first session will be a welcoming space where we begin building a connection and laying the foundation for our work together. I’ll invite you to share what’s bringing you in, explore your current concerns, and talk through any goals or hopes you have for therapy. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your experiences better and begin developing a plan that feels right for you. It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous about starting therapy. We’ll take it step by step, and I’ll guide you through the process in a way that feels supportive, safe, and centered on your comfort.
