Big life changes can be heavy. Let's lighten your load.

Hi, I'm Astrid, and I am here to walk with you on challenging journeys. I bring 20 years' experience in supporting women with collaborative, inclusive, and respectful care during the tumult of life transitions, such as pregnancy and postpartum mental health, perimenopausal wellbeing, recovery from eating disorders, and thriving in neurodiversity.

As a perinatal mental health counsellor and midwife, I am here to support you on your pregnancy and postnatal journey. If you need to talk about depression, anxiety, birth trauma, feeding dramas, and relationship worries, I will listen without judgement and help you map your own path.

I have been a Registered Nurse-Midwife since 2006, walking alongside countless families as they take their first steps together. I have provided therapy for families in parent-infant units, via telehealth, and in the community. I'm also a mum of four. I've lived the sleep deprivation and perinatal mental health stress. I recognise that every person has their own experience, and I'm here to help you get through yours.

For women traversing the ups and downs of perimenopause / menopause, I offer supportive counselling and lifestyle guidance.

My therapeutic approach is person-centred, above all. This means I see you as the expert in your own life and experience. I can offer support using modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT, CBT, and solution-focussed therapy.

If you're curious about my professional background and credentials:

I hold Master's degrees in Counselling and Mental Health Nursing, and Bachelor's degrees in Nursing and Midwifery. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

I am a Credentialled Eating Disorder Clinician (Mental Health) and hold additional qualifications as a Menopause Lifestyle Practitioner, Perinatal Mental Health Practice, Addiction-Informed Mental Health Counselling, and Neuro-Affirming Care (ADHD and ASD).

So.... let's talk. I look forward to hearing from you.
