More about Heather

  • Female
  • Psychologist

Dr. Ulrich is a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of North Carolina, Maryland and Delaware. She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Montana and her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Western Carolina University.

Dr. Ulrich has specialized as a child, adolescent and family psychologist and she has extensive training in the areas of infant mental health, developmental trauma, attachment based disturbances, relational neurobiology, brain development, child development, and parent child relationships. Dr. Ulrich utilizes the latest knowledge and research in the areas of neuroscience, relational neurobiology, trauma, and stress to inform her relationship based approach. The core belief of her approach is that problematic behavior or functioning is developed in the context of relationships and it is through relationships that we grow and develop healthy, adaptive ways of functioning.

Dr. Ulrich also uses her specialized knowledge to assist adults who want to learn more about themselves and the "how and why" they interact with the world and their relationships in the manner that they do. Her goal for adult focused therapy is to help each individual become more conscious and aware of their behavior and emotions so that they can make more informed and controlled decisions throughout their days and, hopefully, maximize the joy and happiness they can find in each day.

Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling.
