I work with adults and adolescents and have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing psychiatric disorders, women’s mental health concerns, postnatal depression, substance misuse, and complex trauma, including trauma related to childhood abuse. My work is grounded in a strong belief that healing involves both the mind and the body, and that safe, compassionate therapeutic relationships are central to lasting change.
Alongside traditional counselling approaches, I draw on extensive training and experience in Dance Movement Therapy (DMT). I have developed and facilitated DMT programs within community organisations and women’s health retreats, and I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital settings. This background allows me to support clients who may struggle to access or articulate their experiences through words alone, using the body as a meaningful entry point for healing and self‑awareness.
I previously spent five years lecturing in the Graduate Diploma of Dance Movement Therapy at Excelsia University College (formerly Wesley Institute) and at the IKON Institute of Australia, where I taught Dance Movement and Embodied Arts. Teaching has deepened my commitment to reflective practice, lifelong learning, and staying informed by current research.
In my private practice, I frequently work with clients who have histories of complex trauma. My therapeutic approach is informed by ongoing professional development in trauma‑informed care, with a strong emphasis on safety, nervous system regulation, and embodied awareness. I aim to work collaboratively, at a pace that feels respectful and empowering for each individual.
I also bring five years’ experience as a school counsellor, working closely with young people and adolescents navigating anxiety, mood concerns, trauma, identity development, and life transitions. Across all ages, I strive to offer a warm, steady, and non‑judgemental space where clients can feel supported to reconnect with themselves and move toward greater wellbeing.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
