My name is Dominique Proctor, and I am a Ohio University Zanesville graduate and a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Ohio. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Ohio University Zanesville in 2020 and completed my Master of Social Work in 2022. I am currently pursuing my MBA at Indiana Wesleyan University to further strengthen my leadership and business skills.
I have over five years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization (PHP) settings. My clinical work focuses on helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, boundary issues, and life transitions.
I believe therapy should be both supportive and accountable.
I provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to be honest about what they are experiencing. At the same time, I am a strong believer in accountability. Real growth happens when we are willing to examine our patterns, take responsibility for our choices, and consistently practice new skills outside of sessions.
My role is to help you:
Gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors
Develop practical coping strategies
Set healthy boundaries
Improve communication and relationships
Track measurable progress over time
Stay accountable to the goals that matter most to you
I often incorporate evidence-based tools and assessments to monitor progress and ensure that treatment is focused and effective.
A Little About Me
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy traveling, especially to Florida, following Ohio State Buckeyes football, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
My Commitment to You
Seeking therapy takes courage. My goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, challenged, and supported as you work toward meaningful and lasting change. Together, we will identify your goals, build on your strengths, and create a clear plan to help you move forward.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
