More about Brayton

I first saw a therapist as a teenager and again as a college student. Those experiences were game changers as I entered young adulthood. Since then, I’ve provided therapy in diverse settings, including a hospital cancer center, homeless youth shelter, multiple schools (K–12), and outpatient clinics. I’ve worked with a wide range of ages and challenges—from trauma to transitions—which has shaped me into a flexible, grounded clinician. My broad experience helps me meet clients where they are with clarity and confidence.

Working with me is collaborative, conversational, and tailored to your pace. We'll start by getting to know each other and identifying what matters most to you. I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults navigating big transitions—whether that’s school, relationships, identity, or just figuring things out. Progress doesn’t always look dramatic; often, it’s feeling more like yourself again and moving toward the version of you that feels most comfortable.

I’m trained in EMDR and continually build on that foundation through ongoing education and consultation. I receive monthly training in equity-centered leadership, which shapes how I show up for clients and colleagues alike. I also both receive and provide clinical supervision—staying sharp by learning from others and supporting fellow therapists in their growth. I’m especially interested in deepening my skills around trauma, identity development, and effective support during life transitions.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
