I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in LGBTQ+ issues, mood disorders, personality disorders, and trauma-based disorders. I work mostly with young adults and teenagers and specialize in treatment approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The approaches I take can help you process your trauma and unwanted thoughts/feelings, work toward acceptance and planning for future goals, and learn new behaviors to replace unhealthy behaviors keeping you feeling stuck/unhappy.

If you are feeling emotionally vulnerable and/or out of control, I'd love to help you navigate these big feelings as well as help you understand and change your behaviors so you can enjoy the life you're living. Whether you are dealing with unresolved trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, religious deconstruction, depression, anxiety or other mental health issues, I am here to help. In therapy, we will work through those unwanted emotions and learn new skills to help you begin to deal with them effectively.

I will be honest and forthcoming with thoughts and tools I believe will be helpful for your recovery while maintaining a warm and comforting atmosphere in session. I encourage my clients to dig deep and hold themselves accountable for how they can do and feel better as well as take a social justice oriented approach to acknowledge the systems in place making it difficult to recover.

I can’t wait to hear from you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
