I am a compassionate counsellor and experienced healthcare professional with over 20 years’ experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and healthcare professionals through emotional and life challenges.

My background as both an ACA Level 3 registered Counsellor and Paediatric Clinical Nurse Consultant has given me extensive experience working with anxiety, stress, grief and loss, trauma, chronic illness, burnout, emotional overwhelm, adjustment difficulties, and mental health distress. I also have significant experience supporting healthcare workers and carers navigating workplace stress, compassion fatigue, and the emotional impact of caring roles.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I aim to provide a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where people feel genuinely heard and understood. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative, with a focus on helping clients build insight, emotional resilience, coping strategies, and self-compassion.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychoeducation, and strengths-based approaches. I tailor therapy to each individual, recognising that every person’s experiences and goals are unique.

I value creating a space where people feel safe to speak openly without fear of judgement. Many people I work with are used to carrying a lot on their own, and I believe therapy can provide an opportunity to slow down, feel supported, and better understand yourself and your experiences.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, navigating relationship or family challenges, or simply looking for support and direction, I strive to create a safe and compassionate space to help you move forward at your own pace.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
