Hi, I’m Alana Borden, MSW, LCSW, and I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges while discovering their strengths, resilience, and ability to grow. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where you should feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and emotional difficulties. My approach is compassionate and individualized, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT skills, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Family Systems approaches.

I believe that every person has a unique story, and my role is to create a safe space where you can explore your experiences, identify patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and build confidence in yourself. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, navigating change, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I will meet you where you are and support you toward meaningful change.

My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you can be authentic, gain new tools, and feel empowered to create the life you want. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
