Hello! I'm Monique, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia and Florida. I have been practicing in the mental health field for almost 14 years. I was influenced by my personal and family experiences to start the journey as a counselor and have worked diligently to dispel the negative perceptions of therapy within culturally diverse communities. As a working mother, I know what it feels like to be burned out, but have to keep going. I have developed some tried and true techniques to help work through these symptoms. A major focus on my work has been managing anxiety, grief and depression and helping clients to develop healthy, positive coping skills, reduce stress and prevent burnout. I also have extensive experience working with individuals with personality disorder diagnoses. I use my experiences from the various settings that I have worked in to assist my clients in achieving the best outcome possible. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
