I'm a therapist with nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health challenges. I work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, and trauma, as well as concerns related to sexuality, identity, attachment, and interpersonal dynamics.

My approach is grounded in authenticity and respect. I create a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ clients and those seeking a therapist with progressive values. I'm particularly skilled at helping clients work through shame, guilt, isolation, and social anxiety, as well as supporting those managing panic attacks, OCD, and personality-related concerns.

I believe in meeting clients where they are—without judgment—and helping them build self-compassion and meaningful connections. Whether you're processing trauma, navigating complex emotions, or working toward greater self-understanding, I'm here to support your journey with care and genuine presence.

As a counselor, I prefer an integrated approach to both individual and family therapies. I draw heavily from cognitive behavioral counseling/therapy (CBT) principles, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy as well as other insight-based counseling approaches. These are well established, researched and respected therapies.

Cognitive Behavioral Theoretical Approach (CBT) adds a strong framework to exploring thoughts and ideas, while a bio psychosocial approach sees the “whole” person as a being with biological influences, influenced by psychological stressors and molded through both present and past social experiences. As a team, you and I will work together to find that approach that best speaks to you, that gives you the insight or experience that you are seeking through participating in counseling. At times, I may suggest homework or journaling, or may recommend that we consider a particular book or alternate resource.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
