I'm Marie, a Clinical Psychologist and Relational Psychotherapist with a genuine interest in understanding people, their life experiences, and the relationships that shape how they feel about themselves and others.

You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulties in your relationships, or simply a feeling that something in your life isn't quite right. Perhaps you find yourself repeating patterns that leave you feeling hurt, misunderstood, disconnected or stuck, despite your best efforts to change.

I believe that many of our present difficulties have their roots in earlier experiences, particularly those that have shaped our sense of self, our emotional world and our expectations of relationships. Understanding these patterns can be an important step towards meaningful and lasting change.

My approach is warm, collaborative and thoughtful. I offer a safe, respectful and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship where we can explore not only what is happening in your life, but also why certain feelings, reactions and relationship patterns keep emerging.

I draw on relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, trauma-informed approaches, mentalisation-based therapy and other evidence-based practices. I have a particular interest in complex trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional regulation, personality vulnerabilities and longstanding relationship challenges.

Therapy with me is about more than managing symptoms. It's about developing a deeper understanding of yourself, finding greater emotional freedom, building more fulfilling relationships and becoming more comfortable in your own skin.

You don't need to have all the answers before beginning therapy. Sometimes, simply having a space where you feel genuinely heard and understood is where change begins.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
